David Logacho is the director of La Biblia Dice (The Bible Says), Back to the Bible's Spanish speaking ministry. David lives in Quito, Ecuador, with his wife, Germania, three children and two grandchildren.
Full name and meaning:
Pablo David Logacho Solis
Pablo means "little."
David means "beloved."
Family information:
My wife's name is Germania. I met her in church 35 years ago. We have been married for 31 years and have three children and two grandchildren. My parents are with the Lord. We have had a female dog for 15 years. The family loves this dog.
How you came to know the Lord:
When I was 14, I attended an evangelistic campaign in which Billy Graham was preaching. He explained very clearly what the Lord Jesus did for me when he died on the cross. I accepted Jesus as my personal Savior.
Ministry background:
After graduating from the Word of Life Bible Institute, I served the Lord at Word of Life-Ecuador for three years. Then I was invited to join La Biblia Dice as Director and Bible Teacher. I have been in this position since 1991.
When did you start with Back to the Bible?
I began in 1991 as Director and Bible Teacher.
How the Bible has changed your life:
It gave me all that I needed to know about my spiritual condition as a sinner and gave me all that I needed to know in order to be forgiven of my sin.
Favorite Bible passage:
Nahum 1:7, because it is a source of strength in the midst of struggle.
Favorite Bible story:
Daniel in the lion's den, because it's a perfect example of perseverance despite opposition.
Greatest struggle growing up:
To serve God or to serve myself.
About the people of Ecuador:
It's a mixture of people from Spain and people from the old Inca Empire. 95% claim to be Catholics. They need salvation, but most of them are not aware of that. People are quite family-oriented. 70% of the population is poor. The government is socialist.
The one place in Ecuador you would take a visitor:
The monument in the middle of the world.
What makes you the most proud of Ecuador:
People are hard-working despite hardships.

Interesting or funny fact about you:
I was granted a scholarship by Back to the Bible without knowing that years later I was going to be part of Back to the Bible.
Other places you have lived besides Ecuador:
I lived three years in Argentina during my time at the Word of Life Bible Institute.
Hobbies:
Reading, spoiling my grandchildren
If you had a random day off, what would you do for the day?
Clean up my car, help my wife, go to the grocery store and mow the grass.
